Notes

When the instructions say join with dc, it means that instead of joining to the first stitch with a sl st, you make a dc in the first st. This creates the last ch space for the round and makes sure that the hook is in the center of the ch sp ready to start the next round. The dc that is used to form the last sp  is counted as ch3sp rather than as a dc.

The doily will ruffle . It will settle on blocking after its completion.

Instructions – Week 3

Rnd 18: Ch1, sc in same sp, (ch3, sc in next sp) 14 times, ch3, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 11 sts, skip 1 dc, *(ch3, sc in next sp) 16 times, ch3, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 11 sts, skip 1 dc, repeat from * around ending with ch3, sc in next sp. Join to first sc with ch1, 1dc – 66dc, 108 ch3 sp, 96sc.

Rnd 19: Ch1, sc in same sp, (ch3, sc in next sp) 2 times, Ch3, 3 dc in next sp, (ch3, sc in next sp)3 times, ch3, 3 dc in next sp, (ch3, sc in next sp)3 times, ch3, 3dc in next sp, (ch3, sc in next sp)4 times, ch3, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 9 sts, skip 1 dc, * (ch3, sc in next sp)4 times, Ch3, 3 dc in next sp, (ch3, sc in next sp)3 times, ch3, 3 dc in next sp, (ch3, sc in next sp)3 times, ch3, 3dc in next sp, (ch3, sc in next sp)4 times, ch3, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 9 sts, skip 1 dc, repeat from * around ending with ch3, sc in next sp. Join to first sc with ch1, dc – 54 DC, 18 3dc groups, 108ch3 sp, 84 sc.

Rnd 20: Ch1, sc in same sp, (ch3, sc in next sp)3 times, ch3, sc in 2nd dc of 3 dc group, (ch3, sc in next sp)4 times, ch3, sc in 2nd dc of 3dc group, (ch3, sc in next sp)4 times, ch3, sc in 2nd dc of 3dc group, (ch3, sc in next sp)5 times, ch3, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 7 sts, skip 1 dc, *(ch3, sc in next sp)5 times, ch3, sc in 2nd dc of 3 dc group, (ch3, sc in next sp)4 times , ch3, sc in 2nd dc of 3dc group, (ch3, sc in next sp)4 times, ch3, sc in 2nd dc of 3dc group, (ch3, sc in next sp)5 times, ch3, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 7 sts, skip 1 dc, repeat from * around ending with ch3, sc in next sp. Join to first sc with ch1, 1dc – 42dc, 132 ch3sp, 126sc.

Rnd 21: Ch1, sc in same sp, (ch3, sc in next sp) 20 times, ch3, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 5 sts, skip 1 dc, *(ch3, sc in next sp) 22 times, ch3, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 5 sts, skip 1 dc, repeat from * around, ending with ch3, sc in next sp. Join to first sc with ch1, 1dc – 30 dc, 138ch3sp, 132sc.

Rnd 22: ch1, sc in same sp, (ch3, sc in next sp) 4 times, ch3, 3dc in next sp, (ch3, sc in next sp)4 times, ch3, 3 dc in next sp, (ch3, sc in next sp)4times, ch3, 3 dc in next sp, (ch3, sc in next sp) 6 times, ch3, skip 1 dc , 1 dc in each of the next 3 sts, skip 1 dc, *(ch3, sc in next sp)6 times, ch3, 3dc in next sp, (ch3, sc in next sp)4 times, ch3, 3 dc in next sp, (ch3, sc in next sp)4times, ch3, 3 dc in next sp, (ch3, sc in next sp) 6 times, ch3, skip 1 dc , 1 dc in each of the next 3 sts, skip 1 dc, repeat from * around ending with ch3, sc in next sp. Join to first sc with ch1, 1 dc –18dc, 18 3dcgroup, 144ch3sp, 120sc.
